Italo Ferreira and Carissa Moore win the JJ. OO.

The Brazilian Italo Ferreira and the American Carissa Moore are the first surfers to achieve Olympic Gold in Surfing. Italo has beaten the Japanese favorite Kanoa Igarashi (Silver) and Carissa the South African Bianca Buitendag (Silver) in the final. The bronze went to Owen Wright (Australia) and A. Tsuzuki (Japan).
